Missouri

Missouri's state poet laureate serves a two-year term and is currently held by William Trowbridge, who was appointed in 2012. Trowbridge has published eight poetry collections, including Ship of Fool (Red Hen Press, 2011). He was coeditor of The Laurel Review from 1986 to 2000, and his poetry has earned numerous honors and awards. He lives in Lee's Summit.
