Irakli Kakabadze was born in 1982. He is the author of four collections of poetry. After working several governmental positions in Georgia while writing work that criticized the state and the Georgian Orthodox church, he was forced to flee Georgia. He lives in Istanbul, Turkey.

As natural,
As the sun’s setting and rising,
The flowers’ budding and wilting, 
The healing of open wounds,
And death.
