Janel Pineda is a Salvadoran poet and the author of Lineage of Rain (Haymarket Books, 2021). The recipient of a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans, a Marshall Scholarship, a NALAC NFA Artist Grant, and a California Arts Council Emerging Artist Fellowship, she lives in Los Angeles.
