The Katonah Poetry Series, a program of the Katonah Village Library, was founded in 1967. The Katonah Poetry Series hosts four readings each year by critically acclaimed poets—poets laureate, Pulitzer Prize winners, and more. Each reading is followed by a Q & A, reception, and book signing. Former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, who directed the series for seventeen years, continues to act as an advisor. The Katonah Poetry Series recently celebrated its 50th anniversary on May 13, 2017.
