The Kansas City Writers Group was founded in 1965 and has met continuously since that time. The group offers two types of opportunities, both lead by published, professional writers: there are Critique Groups, which function as discussion groups to help writers with their works in progress, and Writers' Workshops, classes with writing exercises, discussions, editing, and advice.
