The Academy of American Poets, Lambda Literary, and The Poetry Project to Co-Present a Special Poetry Reading in New York City to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising

The Academy of American Poets, Lambda Literary, and The Poetry Project will co-present the Stonewall 50 Reading to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising on June 26, 2019 at 6:30 pm at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery in New York City. The reading will feature award-winning LGBTQ poets and performers, including Francisco Aragón, Kay Ulanday Barrett, Kate Bornstein, Jericho Brown, Cheryl Clarke, Timothy DuWhite, francine j. harris, Sophia Le Fraga, Trace Peterson, Tommy Pico, Pamela Sneed, Phillip B. Williams, and more, with emcee Erin Markey.

This event is free and open to the public. A reception in the Parish Hall of the church will follow the reading.
