   a chevron                                                            claw

      zigzag                                                            bird

         against wind                                                  a

            meander                                          column

               bilateral                                       comb

                  forked tail                                 axe   
                        
                     lozenge                                  V     

                        circles                           then

                           in                            hoop

                              egg or               spiral

                                 checker     pattern
                                      
                                      board

                                         shape
