Tatiana Johnson-Boria

Tatiana Johnson-Boria completed her MFA in creative writing at Emerson College and was a 2021 Tin House Scholar.

Johnson-Boria is the author of Nocturne in Joy (Sundress Publications, 2023). Her writing explores identity, trauma, especially inherited trauma, and what it means to heal. Her work has been published in numerous journals, including Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, and Pleiades.

Johnson-Boria is a recipient of distinguished fellowships from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, MacDowell, the Brother Thomas Fund, and other organizations. She has received honorable mention for the 2020 and 2021 Academy of American Poets Prize and is a 2017 Pushcart Prize nominee. She teaches at Emerson College and GrubStreet.
