Jan Richman

Jan Richman is the author of Because the Brain Can Be Talked Into Anything (Louisiana State University Press, 1995), which was chosen by Robert Pinsky to receive the 1994 Walt Whitman Award. Her poems have appeared in The Nation, Ploughshares, The Bloomsbury Review, and many other journals. Her honors include a "Discovery"/The Nation Award, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Felix Pollack Poetry Prize, and the Celia B. Wagner Award. Jan Richman lives in San Francisco, California.
