Established in 2013, the Aliki Perroti and Seth Frank Most Promising Young Poet Award recognizes a student poet twenty-three years old or younger, with an annual cash prize of $1,000.
Students who have won one of our 2014 University & College Poetry Prizes, and who were 23 years-old or younger at that time, will be considered for the Aliki Perroti and Seth Frank Most Promising Young Poet Award.
Only a schoolís college prize coordinator may submit a studentís winning poem to be considered for the prize. No other applications are accepted.
Submissions will be screened by Academy staff and ultimately judged by one of the past or current members of our Board of Chancellors. The individuals who serve as Chancellors are among the most distinguished poets of our day. In the event that Chancellors are unable to judge the prize, the President of the Academy will select a winner.
The prize winner will be listed on our website and in American Poet magazine.
