Poem-a-Day

Poem-a-Day is the original and only daily digital poetry series featuring more than two hundred new, previously unpublished poems by today’s talented poets each year. On weekdays, poems are accompanied by exclusive commentary by the poets, and several featured poems have been chosen for inclusion in the Best American Poetry Series. The series highlights classic poems on weekends. Launched in 2006, Poem-a-Day is now distributed via email, web, and social media to 350,000+ readers free of charge and is available for syndication.

As a special offering this April, which is National Poetry Month, U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón, has selected twenty new poems by contemporary poets to be featured in the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day series as part of a collaboration with the Library of Congress.
