This fall, we’ve added two new video series, Poetry Breaks and P.O.P, to Poets.org.

Poetry Breaks is a series of poetry shorts filmed in the late 1980s and early 1990s by creator Leita Luchetti. Each video features a celebrated poet reading their poem and discussing their take on poetry in their home, classroom, workspace, and various other locations. So far, the featured poets have included Galway Kinnell, Li-Young Lee, Philip Levine, and Sharon Olds, among others. Every Saturday we unveil a new video in the series.

Curated and produced by poet and photographer Rachel Eliza Griffiths, P.O.P (Poets on Poetry) is a video series featuring contemporary American poets who read an original poem and a poem by another poet, after which they reflect on their choice. The poets then answer a question contributed anonymously by another poet in the series and then leave their own question for another to answer. Featured poets in the series include Cornelius Eady, Nick Flynn, Ross Gay, Terrance Hayes, Marilyn Nelson, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Carl Phillips, and Tracy K. Smith, among many others. Every Tuesday we premiere a new video in the series.

Find out more about both of these video series, and check back each week for that week’s new Poetry Breaks and P.O.P videos.
