School may be out for summer, but that doesn’t mean poetry-lovers aren’t still adding to their summer reading lists of books to check out at the library, at the beach, at the park, and anywhere else they may sojourn in the dog days of summer.

In a new feature on Poets.org, we asked several poets who serve on our Board of Chancellors, as well as poets with new releases featured in the Books Noted section of the Spring-Summer 2016 issue of American Poets, to share what books they have queued up on their summer reading lists. Find out what Jennifer Grotz, Brenda Hillman, Tyehimba Jess, Anne Waldman, and more named as their can’t-miss summer picks.
