Gary Fincke

Gary Fincke is the author of over two dozen works of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. His poetry collections include The History of Permanence (Stephen F. Austin University Press, 2011), winner of the Stephen F. Austin Poetry Prize; The Fire Landscape (University of Arkansas Press, 2008); and Standing around the Heart (University of Arkansas Press, 2005). His awards include the 1991 Bess Hokin Prize and the 1997 Rose Lefcowitz Prize. He founded the Susquehanna University Writers Institute and served as its director until 2014. Fincke lives in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
