In business since 1971, Powell’s Books operates four stores across the Portland area and offers a wide selection of used, new, and out-of-print books. The stores host book clubs, children’s storytelling, and author events. Powell’s Books on Hawthorne is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
