The MacDowell Colony is one of the oldest and best known artist colonies in the country, located on 450 acres in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. The mission of the colony is to nurture the arts and their creators by giving 275 fellowships throughout the year in three different periods of residencies. Colonists receive room, board, and the exclusive use of one of 32 studios for up to eight weeks.
