The Ludington Area Center for the Arts provides a lively forum for poets and prose writers through a partnership with the Ludington Writer Group, providing a supportive and encouraging environment for writing and community. The Center hosts a number of events, among which are the West Shore Words Poetry Celebration, a six month series of events celebrating the reading and writing of poetry; the West Side Gang Writers' Group, a group of local writers of all levels and genres; and Third Tuesdays, a group for people to workshop their writing with other writers on the third Tuesday of each month.
