A biannual journal of poetry, fiction, art and criticism, Fence has a mission to publish challenging writing and art distinguished by idiosyncrasy and intelligence rather than by allegiance with camps, schools, or cliques. Fence Books is an extension of that mission, offering the annual Alberta Prize and the Fence Modern Poets Series.
