When Poetry Breathes: An Evening of Poems and Music at Baruch College

On behalf of the Middle East Institute, you are invited to join award-winning Saudi poet Abdulatif Yousef for two memorable evenings of poetry and music. Starring the world-renowned oudist, Ahmed Alshaiba with English translation by actress Jessica Damouni, the performance will be followed by a conversation on the dynamic poetry scene in Saudi Arabia. 

The performance will be followed by a conversation with Moustafa Bayoumi, Columnist at The Guardian. Bayoumi is the author of How Does It Feel To Be a Problem?: Being Young and Arab in America (Penguin), which won an American Book Award and the Arab American Book Award for Non-Fiction.
