Riverfront Readings featuring Susan Carman and Beth Gulley

Susan Carman is a Pushcart Prize nominee, and served as poetry co-editor for Kansas City Voices. Her poetry and essays have appeared in various publications, including I-70 Review, Coal City Review, Imagination and Place, and Kalliope, where she was a finalist for the Sue Saniel Elkind Poetry Award. Her essay, “An Extra Helping of Grace,” received a national award from Penguin Press. Retired from nonprofit management, Susan enjoys traveling in her writing and in her free time.

Beth Gulley is a Kansas poet who loves to travel. While she spends most of her time teaching English at Johnson County Community College, she spent the 2016-2017 school year in Xi’an, China. Then she spent her winter holiday 2018 in Pakistan. In addition to writing, she loves volunteering, running, and drinking coffee. Her recent publications include poetry in Apeiron Review, Thorny Locust, Kansas English, and 365 Poems/ 365 Days Anthology Vol. 2.
