#PoetryNearYou Pick of the Week: Borderlands: Poetry on the Edge featuring Hanif Abdurraqib

Borderlands: Poetry on the Edge presents a reading by poet and author Hanif Abdurraqib on Saturday, September 15, 2018, 4 p.m., at Main Street Books in Mansfield, Ohio. 
 
Hanif Abdurraqib is the author of The Crown Ain’t Worth Much (Button Poetry, 2016), his first poetry collection, which was nominated for the Hurston-Wright Legacy Award. He is also the author of the essay collection They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us (Two Dollar Radio, 2017). He lives in Columbus, Ohio.
 
Borderlands: Poetry on the Edge features one or two poets from Ohio or elsewhere in the Midwest. Following the reading is a mic-less open mic, where poets, poetry appreciators, and the poetry-curious are welcome to share their work.
