Joseph O. Legaspi is the author of the poetry collections Threshold and Imago, both from CavanKerry Press; and three chapbooks: Postcards (Ghost Bird Press), Aviary, Bestiary (Organic Weapon Arts), and Subways (Thrush Press). Recent works have appeared in POETRY, New England Review, World Literature Today, Best of the Net, and the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day. Naomi Extra is a freelance writer, poet, and doctoral candidate in American Studies at Rutgers University-Newark. In both her creative and scholarly work she explores the themes of agency and pleasure in the lives of black women and girls. Her writing has been published or is forthcoming in Lenny, Broadly, The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 2: Black Girl Magic, The Rumpus, Shondaland and elsewhere.
 
Mara Jebsen is a Brooklyn poet and performer. A 2009 New York Foundation for the Arts fellow in poetry, her work can be found in jubilat, The American Poetry Review, and Hanging Loose Press, among other publications. She was a long time member of louderArts and occasional member of PopUpPoets—and as a result has staged poems at Universities, theaters, bars, bookstores, subway trains and arts festivals.Raised by folklorists in Philadelphia and in Lome, Togo, Mara currently teaches the art of the essay at New York University.
