Highland Park Poetry welcomes Al DeGenova as our featured reader. Albert DeGenova is a prize-winning poet, editor, teacher, and blues saxophonist. His most recent chapbook is A Good Hammer (2014, a limited edition hand-made letterpress imprint from Timberline Press) with his newest collection, Fishnets and Saxophones, to be published this fall by Purple Flag press. In 2000, he launched the literary/arts journal After Hours, for which he continues as publisher and editor. DeGenova is half of the performance poetry duo AvantRetro (with Charlie Rossiter) which appears throughout the Midwest and greater Chicago area.
