About the poet:
Isabel Marcheselli was born in New York City to South American parents and began writing poems as a teenager. She graduated with honors from Cornell University in upstate New York, where she met and was mentored by the great American poet, A.R. Ammons and where her love of nature and verse reached new heights. Later on, Isabel became the lead singer and songwriter for the band, Isabel and The Whispers, with whom she released the band’s CD of original folk and pop songs in 2008 and toured New York City.
