Now listeners to this recording can hear Pinsky read his own poems, which are written in, as Molesworth notes in his introduction, "a language that catches and heightens the music of plain words.... [He] uses this music to argue discursively or complain knowingly or celebrate fully."

Pinsky reads from History of My Heart and The Figured Wheel, which received the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize.
