A cclaimed poet Vera Pavlova will read from her stunning collection of poems If There is Something to Desire at the Pierre Menard Gallery. Featured in "The New Yorker," "Poetry," and on The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, Pavlova's exquisite poems first came to American readers a decade ago in translations by Derek Walcott and her husband, Steven Seymour. This event is cosponsored with the Grolier Poetry Bookshop, America's oldest all-poetry bookstore, and Lame Duck Books, Harvard Square's pre-eminent destination for rare and antiquarian books. |
