The Poetry Reading will feature eight poetry readings by noted poets, readings by the student winners of the Jackson Heights Poetry Contest, book signings & sales, carnival activities, and food and games. Middle school students will present their poetry during intermission.
The Jackson Heights Poetry Festival is a 3-day event involving workshops taught by professors and poets, a poetry slam, and a series of readings at an all-day outdoor-poetry-extravaganza.
All events are open to the public. |
