Adam Kirsch's second book of poems is Invasions (Ivan R. Dee). Both it and his second book of criticism, The Modern Element (Norton), were published to critical acclaim in March 2008. The Los Angeles Times has called Kirsch "one of the most promising young poet-critics in America." He is book critic for the New York Sun.
Joshua Mehigan's first book, The Optimist (Ohio Univ. Press) was one of five finalists for the 2005 Los Angeles Times Book Prize in Poetry. His poems have appeared in many periodicals, including the New York Times, Ploughshares, and Poetry.
