The PSA's 2014 National Series pays tribute to the immense achievement of a wide range of poets, from Phillis Wheatley to Adrienne Rich, Ai, June Jordan, and Wanda Coleman.

Toi Derricotte
 is the author of many books of poems, including The Undertaker's Daughter (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2011) and Tender (University of Pittsburgh Press, 1997), which won the 1998 Paterson Poetry Prize;Captivity (University of Pittsburgh Press, 1989). She was elected a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets in 2012. She is currently a Professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh

Marilyn Chin is the author of Rhapsody in Plain Yellow(W.W. Norton & Co., 2002); The Phoenix Gone, The Terrace Empty (1994); and Dwarf Bamboo (1987). Chin has won awards from the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. She has received a Stegner Fellowship, the PEN/Josephine Miles Award, four Pushcart Prizes, the Paterson Prize, and a Fulbright Fellowship to Taiwan.

Percival Everett is the author of re:f (2006) and Swimming Swimmers Swimming (2010). Among his awards and honors are the PEN Center USA Award, Academy Award in Literature from The American Academy of Arts and Letters, New American Writing Award, and PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Literary Award. He also received an honorary Doctorate in 2008 from the College of Santa Fe.
