As part of the Poetry on the Busses event June 7-21, a live poetry reading will be held 3-4 p.m. June 14 at the Intermodal Transit Center, 1006 Railroad St. in Moscow. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Watercolor and mixed-media renderings from local poets and artists Stacy Isenbarger and Katherine Clancy will be on display through June 21. Their work was created in response to Moscow poet Robert Wrigley’s poem “Spring is Here.”
The event is a collaboration between the Moscow Arts Commission and Broadsided Press, an online organization that brings poetry out of books and into the public eye by creating monthly, downloadable broadsides using submitted materials from artists around the nation.
The Poetry on the Busses event also will bring twelve poetry and visual art collaborations from local and national artists as well as University of Idaho students inside Moscow Valley Transit busses. Two works will be displayed on 11 by 17-inch sheets, called broadsides, inside each of the busses.
