In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Kent County Arts Council, The Bookplate bookstore and Washington College are partnering to present "Poetry Festival VI" as part of downtown Chestertown's "First Friday" event April 5, 2013. The informal poetry reading will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Bookplate, 112 S. Cross Street.
The festival invites any member of the public to sign up to read or recite a favorite verse aloud in front of what festival coordinator Robert Earl Price describes as a "diverse, untethered audience wandering in and out." Request a time slot by calling 410-778-4167 or email poetry@washcoll.edu. |
