An Evening of Poetry
Featured Poets:Maria Mazziotti Gillan

This is the first of a series of poetry readings which will continue into 2013 on the first Thursday of each month. The event is free and an open reading follows the featured readers. This month's featured poet is Maria Mazziotti Gillan, who celebrates the publication of her newest book, The Place I Call Home (New York Quarterly Press, Fall 2012). Maria Mazziotti Gillan is a recipient of the 2011 Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award from Poets & Writers, and her book All The Lies Between Us won the American Book Award in 2008. Her latest book is The Place I Call Home (2012, New York Quarterly Press). She is the Founder/Executive Director of the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, NJ. She is also Director of the Creative Writing Program and Professor of Poetry at Binghamton University-State University of New York. She has published fifteen books of poetry and is the editor of the Paterson Literary Review.
