Please join us for a reading featuring fellows from CantoMundo and Kundiman, hosted by R.A. Villanueva and Eduardo C. Corral. This event was funded in part by Poets & Writers, Inc. through public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

Kundiman creates an affirming and rigorous space where Asian American poets can explore, through art, the unique challenges that face the new and ever changing diaspora. We see the arts as a tool of empowerment, of education and liberation, of addressing proactively what legacy we will leave for our future generations as individuals and as a community.

CantoMundo cultivates a community of Latina/o poets. Through workshops, symposia, and public readings, CantoMundo provides a space for the creation, documentation, and critical analysis of Latina/o poetry.
