Victoria Redel is the author most recently of Woman Without Umbrella (forthcoming Four Way Books). Her books include the novels The Border of Truth and Loverboy, which was awarded the 2001 S. Mariella Gable Novel Award, the 2002 Forward Silver Literary Fiction Prize, and was chosen in 2001 as a Los Angeles Times Best Book. Loverboy was adapted for a feature film directed by Kevin Bacon. Her collection of poems, Swoon, was a finalist for the James Laughlin Award. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and journals including O the Oprah magazine, Redbook, Bomb, More and NOON. Redel is on the faculty of Sarah Lawrence College and teaches in the Graduate Writing Program at Columbia University. Moderated by Robert Polito, director, the School of Writing. |
