David St. John is the author of numerous books of poetry, including most recently The Face: A Novella in Verse, Red Leaves of Night, Terraces of Rain, and Hush. He is the recipient the Great Lakes College Association New Writers Award, the James D. Phelan Award, and the Academy Award in Literature. He currently teaches at University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Anna Journey is the author of If Birds Gather Your Hair for Nesting, which was selected by Thomas Lux for the National Poetry Series. Her poems have appeared in The American Poetry Review, FIELD, and The Kenyon Review. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for poetry, and holds a PhD in literature and creative writing from the University of Houston, where she served as poetry editor for Gulf Coast.
