The President and Mrs. Obama will serve as Honorary Chairs of the 2012 Library of Congress National Book Festival, which is expected to draw nearly 200,000 people of all ages. Headlining poets and writers include Philip Roth, Mario Vargas Llosa, Giannina Braschi, Junot Diaz, Thomas Friedman, Joy Harjo, Geraldine Brooks, Patricia Cornwell, Jeffrey Eugenides, and Nikky Finney. Nearly 100 poets and writers will speak at the 12th annual festival, located between 9th and 14th streets on the National Mall. |
