The Academy of American Poets is pleased to share that we will be joining with Hugo House, Copper Canyon Press, and Poetry Northwest to honor Academy of American Poets Chancellor Emerita Carolyn Kizer, who passed away October 9, 2014. The celebration will feature readings by poets, writers, editors, and friends who were connected to Kizer, including Willis Barnstone, Tess Gallagher, Garrett Hongo, Carol Muske-Dukes, and others.
The event will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, at Hugo House, 1634 11th Avenue in Seattle, Washington. It is free and open to the public. RSVP here.
