Pamela Alexander

Pamela Alexander is the author of four poetry collections: Slow Fire (Ausable Press, 2007); Inland (University of Iowa Press, 1997), an Iowa Poetry Prize winner; Commonwealth of Wings: An Ornithological Biography (Wesleyan University Press, 1991); and Navigable Waterways (Yale University Press, 1985), selected by James Merrill for the Yale Younger Poet series. She also writes mystery novels under the pen name Pam Fox.

Alexander taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Oberlin College, where she also served as an associate editor of Field magazine.
