Brian Culhane

Brian Culhane was born and raised in New York City. He received a BA from the City University of New York, an MFA from Columbia University, and a PhD from the University of Washington.

Culhane is the author of Remembering Lethe: Poems (Able Muse Press, 2021) and The King’s Question (Graywolf Press, 2008), winner of the Poetry Foundation’s Emily Dickinson First Book Prize. The recipient of a fellowship from the Washington State Arts Commission, he lives in Seattle.
