Located on the campus of James Madison University, the Furious Flower Poetry Center is dedicated to the memory of Gwendolyn Brooks. The center hosts visiting poets, sponsors workshops, holds an annual poetry camp for children in the community, and produces scholarly texts, videos, and DVDs on African American poetry.
