A Vision of Self
Selected by alexis.bri

The way people view themselves can effect their everyday lives. Growing up, I had a very low self-esteem because I did not like what I saw when I looked into the mirror. Because of this lack of confidence, I began to create clothing to change the way I viewed myself. This is why fashion is now my career path of choice. For most, clothing is more than just clothing. Clothing can help define a person's personality and can make a person feel a sense of confidence. It acts like a mask, turning us into a completely different person, even if it is just for the night. That is what I am trying to portray in this notebook.

This notebook contains poems about clothing and how it can change the way people view themselves.
