Academy of American Poets
The Academy of American Poets was founded in 1934 to support American poets at all stages of their careers and to foster the appreciation of contemporary poetry. Through its many programs, the Academy works passionately to build and sustain an audience for poetry by offering new readers the resources and means to discover verse and helping enthusiasts deepen their engagement, while also supporting the work of poets at all stages of their careers.
