Hello everyone-I'm in Lincoln, Nebraska and have been writing poetry and music since I was a wee child. I find writing a lonely occupation and would welcome comments and contact with other writers. I am unemployed from my corporate cubicle job right now but the good thing is that I now have many more hours to write! My profile doesn't seem to be showing up, so I will list some of my interests: reading (especially historical fiction), Shakespeare, hiking, horseback riding, walking my golden retriever, British comedy (especially Blackadder), blues, soul and Motown. I am a singer and play piano, bass and guitar. I have a 21 year old daughter and a 3 month old grandson (surprise, surprise!)

Welcome to Poets.org!

Best regards,

Welcome opheliasge,

From reading your introduction, I see tremendous material to draw from for your poetry.
