Larry Berger

Larry Berger is the Chief Executive Officer of Amplify, the education company he cofounded as Wireless Generation in 2001. He has led the invention of mobile software to help early reading teachers and next-generation English, Math, and Science curricula for elementary and middle schools. Mr. Berger was a White House Fellow working on educational technology at NASA. He was also a Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow. Mr. Berger has published numerous articles on education technology and the use of handheld computing to support diagnostic instruction. He is also the coauthor of I Will Sing Life, a book about the poetry writing program he developed and taught for children with serious illnesses. In addition to the Academy of American Poets, he serves on the Boards of Lapham’s Quarterly, the Institute for Sustained Attention, and Touch Press. Mr. Berger holds a BA summa cum laude from Yale and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.
