Long River Live! (LRL!) is the University of Connecticut's Multi-Genre Arts/Performance Series. On April 5, UConn celebrates National Poetry Month with a special edition of LRL! at the William Benton Museum of Art in conjunction with their Poem & Picture exhibit.
This free event will feature poetry by Sean Forbes and Denise Abercrombie, visual art by Caitlin Yates, and an open mic. Bring a favorite poem (by you or a poet you admire) to share on the open mic. Light refreshments served.

LRL! is co-sponsored by UConn's Creative Writing Program, the Long River Review, and the Ballard Institute & Museum of Puppetry. The series aims to broaden the appreciation of all art forms, to encourage cross-genre collaborations and hybrid art, and to dissolve the borders that often keep artists from communicating with and influencing one another and the world. |
